Easter 2012 Services

If you volunteered on the Production Team for our Easter 2012 services, then these videos are to give you an opportunity to watch what you and your team did together. If you served during the Sunday morning services, you can watch your service here at the Port City Community Church website. If you served Friday & Saturday evenings or Sunday evening, you can watch one of your services below.

Thank you so much for all your hard work and dedication to our team! We couldn’t do what we do without you.

IMAG Commentary #2

Here is installment #2 of our IMAG Commentary Video Podcast. We will come up with an official title one day. The good news is we cut this one down from 40+ minutes to 20 minutes & 26 seconds.

Here we focus on two main things throughout the entire video:

  • Mobile Camera Framing
  • Directing with 100% Takes

If you missed the first video you can click here to watch IMAG Commentary #1.

ps: we are still unhappy with the recording, but we are a few steps closer to a good deliver format

IMAG Commentary #1

Yesterday Nick Warkentien, Paul Trogden and myself sat down for around 40 minutes to record our first of many “IMAG Commentary” videos. The video format is all three of us sitting down together watching back a single song from a few Sundays back to simply critique it. We have recorded both the IMAG video, ourselves and the audio from both sources.

We do apologize for the audio quality. Next week we will have a new recording format that will sound much better.

The purpose behind taking the time to record and post these videos is to help you further your skill set behind the gear. Each week we as a team tend to watch back the video from Sunday and comment on what we like and dislike. We can spend hours discussing what types of shots we are wanting to see and what kind of style we are looking for to be directed. But these conversations never make it out to the entire team in a well communicated form. So this is where these weekly videos come in to play.

Each week head to www.pc3production.org and look for the latest installment of “IMAG Commentary“. Take notes on what you hear and please comment below if you have any questions or concerns. We will also begin asking you guys specific questions that if you would like help answer by commenting as well below on the same post.

Thanks Guys and we hope the video below begins pushing the team in a tighter direction!

Staff Transition | Volunteer Shedules

As you may or may not know, Paschal and I have slowly been transitioning me into a more predominant role in Video. As a result of this transition, I will be taking over scheduling of Production Volunteers starting now. If you need to let us know of any scheduling problems in the future, please direct your emails to me at:

nick.warkentien@portcitychurch.org

I am currently working on organizing everyone’s availability a little better. I know that schedules are a bit different during the summer. Also, we have some new volunteers who have been going through training that we need to work into the schedule. We will be moving a few people around a little bit in the next week or two.

If you would please send me an email updating me on your availability, that would be extremely helpful! Please let me know if you are available in the mornings, evenings or either on Sundays.

It is a privilege to work with you!

Thanks Everyone!,

Nick Warkentien
