- Rule Thirds/Headroom/Lead-Room –
download - The Rule-of-Thirds states that an image should be imagined as divided into nine equal parts by two equally-spaced horizontal lines and two equally-spaced vertical lines, and that important compositional elements should be placed along these lines or their intersections. Proponents of the technique claim that aligning a subject with these points creates more tension, energy and interest in the composition than simply centering the subject would. - Message Camera Framing
- Below you will see an entire message from a weekend series at PC3. This is one of the best overall technical filming we have seen. In this video it includes both lowerthirds and a prop that Mike uses to illustrate his points. The cuts between shots where Directed by volunteer Richard Perry and Studio Cameras were operated by volunteers Phillip Andrews (Cam #1) & Chris Woehrle (Cam #2). Please watch the entire video below looking at movements from sitting to standing, interaction with the white board (prop), head-room & overall movement left to right.
